Based on the hit film and the incredible true story, Catch Me If You Can is the high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught. Nominated for four Tony awards, including Best Musical, this delightfully entertaining show was created by a Tony Award-winning “dream team,” with a book by Terrence McNally (The Full Monty, Ragtime) and a swinging score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray).
Seeking fame and fortune, precocious teenager, Frank Abignale, Jr., runs away from home to begin an unforgettable adventure. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer – living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. When Frank’s lies catch the attention of FBI agent, Carl Hanratty, though, Carl pursues Frank across the country to make him pay for his crimes.

She has been a local to San Diego since attaining her MFA in Drama from The Old Globe/USD program 10 years ago. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Elon University. Allison was in the original Broadway & Off-Bway casts of Good Vibrations, Cry Baby, Curtains & Enter Laughing. Allison is a Craig Noel Award Winner and proudly originated the following roles in The World Premieres here in SD as- Janice in Come From Away, Victoria in Sideways (The La Jolla Playhouse) & Jane in Emma (The Old Globe). Along with being a working stage and t.v. actress, Allison is an Adjunct Theatre Professor & Director at Grossmont College and USD. She also is a veteran song, dance and acting coach for the team, MTCA. This will be Allison’s 6th show with SDMT, but first one as a director.

Nationally, he has worked with Radio City Productions, Goodspeed Musicals, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, New York University, and Indiana University, among others. Favorite musicals include Sweeney Todd, Nine, Andrew Lippa’s A Little Princess, The Will Rogers Follies, and Caroline, or Change.
